WHAT
WE DO

"Stand in The Gap" - To connect the struggling veteran with the help they need to succeed. We will help veterans get "plugged in" with existing services in the area and will be an effective platform in seeing them through challenging times. In this rural area, the gaps can be significant. Our goal? FILL THEM!

PROGRAMS
&
PROJECTS

The amount of need appears to be never-ending. Every situation is unique and situation-based. Our ability to support starts with a vetting of the veteran which begins with a DD-214. Then an intake form will be submitted as we evaluate which program or project we support the veteran with. As a small grass roots effort we are limited in direct support assets but will do our best at supporting the veteran...

Financial Help

Office Help

Our office is staffed with volunteers and is not open very day of every week. You can call (706) 946-7080 or email us at ngvafinc@gmail.com to leave or send a message. We will return call or reply to your email as quickly as we can.

Food

Food is one of those needs that we will collaborate with since there are organizations that already provide this service. Our goal is to ensure basic assistance but with a verification process to ensure non-abuse of existing resources.

Transportation

There are current modes of transportation but most are limited. The DAV van is available for taking veterans to appointments and there are a couple of private providers that can assist with the help of a social worker

Counseling or Therapies

The goal is to collaborate with medical professionals outside the VA system until we can get the qualifying veteran the help they need within the system.

In some cases, we may link the veteran with services near-term due delays in the system. There already exists a number of providers in our region that we can partner with.

The system can be challenging to navigate even in the best of circumstances. A copy of the veteran's DD-214 is the first place to start the support. The system is so complex with various levels of support with differing requirements.

It will take a village but we will be good stewards of every dollar donated. We have no paid staff and our board and advisors are all volunteer because they have a passion to help. These people are some of the best and have years of experience assisting others in need.
